A Love Yoga class will spark your imagination with metaphor and visualization.  Expect lots of theory and perspective shifting dialogue that will inspire you to become the center of your own universe.  You will build heat through pranayama, flip your wrists, and approach the physical practice from a completely different point of view.  Alignment is based on sacred geometry and ancient numerical archetypes and the theory pulls heavily from Katonah Yoga, Chinese Medicine and Taoism.

Expect to build heat in this flowing, well being practice.  Breath and movement will be syncopated to calm the nervous system and energize the body.  You will flush your joints, break a sweat, and gain mobility.  This is our quintessential vinyasa class.

Katonah Yoga, developed by Nevine Michaan, blends classical Taoist Chinese theory, sacred geometry, hatha yoga postures, pranayama and mediation in a practice that will leave you feeling more aware of yourself and your environment.

By staying in the poses longer, you are better able to set up the proper conditions to enable you to refine, deepen and move current through the postures. Come to this class if you want to work different parts of the body, and leave feeling flushed and renewed!

Yoga Nidra is the practice and art of Yogic Sleep.  In this class you will be guided through a detailed sleep meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation.  The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation.  Receive deep rest and restoration in this extremely healing practice.

A healing circle made up of all levels and walks of life. Together, we carve out time and space to connect to our breath and our physical bodies with a sense of wonder and curiosity. This class moves at a slower pace and is heavily influenced by Iyengar Yoga and PT exercises. Highly recommended to combat daily stresses and anxiety, this class is all about getting to know the mechanics of your body while making a connection to what the body might need from you at this time. It is gentle approach to the practice with an emphasis on stabilization and “active stretching”.

This 90 minute class combines the best of both worlds.  The first hour is a sweaty, intricate vinyasa practice that warms and opens you.  The last 30 minutes is Yoga Nidra, the practice of Yogic Sleep. You will be guided you through a detailed sleep meditation savasana that will leave you completely and utterly relaxed.  30 minutes of Nidra is the equivalent of 4 hours of deep rest.

A prenatal practice can help you relieve pregnancy aches and pains, prepare for birth and connect with local moms-to-be.  Along with performing postures modified for the needs of your trimester, you'll cultivate a breathing practice, develop stamina and strength and improve balance and circulation.  This class is a must for all our Love moms-to-be.

Mommy + Daddy + Me Love is a class designed to bring together new parents in a supportive, safe environment where they can feel free to nurse, change diapers and most importantly connect to other new parents during this beautiful transition into mother and father hood. Meditation for Beginners

Meditation for Beginners is an easy, gentle way to learn and experience presence, mindfulness, inner peace, and clarity.  Student will learn various meditation techniques, including breath/light work, and guided visualization exercises for clearing stale energy and creating inner space for deep listening in the silence. Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is based on the Taoist concept of yin and yang, opposite and complementary principles in nature. In the body, the relatively stiff connective tissues (tendons, ligaments, fascia) are yin, while the more mobile and pliable muscles and blood are yang. Different Yin Yoga poses stimulate and remove blockages in the myofascial meridians in the body. This has the effect of balancing the body’s internal organs and systems. Yin Yoga requires the muscles to relax around the connective tissue in order to get a stretch. A Yin yoga class usually consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissues. The poses are held for up to five minutes, sometimes longer, using props to hold the body in a comfortable position while completely letting go and allowing the gravity of your body to get you deeper into your pose.
