The New Moon marks the beginning & end of every Lunar Cycle. It is when the Moon is directly aligned with the Sun, appearing as if it has vanished from our sky. We can use the energy of this time to go inward & bring forth our deepest intentions. By gathering in a circle with other women, we can provide support, share & connect with one another, helping to manifest & magnify our intentions out into the Universe.

RESTORATIVE SOUND BATH

with ABBY POLOMA

FRIDAY 8/2 7:30-9pm at LOVE YOGA VENICE

Join Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, Abby Paloma and Tyler Sussman for a seasonal tune up and rejuvenating evening. Take the time and space to access deep levels of relaxation through Restorative Yoga and Sound Therapy.

To get grounded in the body, the workshop will begin with a short asana sequence accessible to all levels. Then Abby will guide a sequence of restorative poses intended to attune our bodies to the fire element of summer. While resting in the supported postures, Tyler will play flute, didgeridoo and mix a live soundscape to guide us into deeper states of ease and rest. It will be an evening of healing and welcoming stillness.

GOLDENAIR BREATHWORK TO BLOW YOUR MIND

with CHRIS KEENER

MONDAY 8/12 9-10:15pm at LOVE YOGA EAST

Goldenair is a singular, transformative inner journey through the breath with a bangin' soundtrack. People often cite their first session as one of the most powerful singular experiences of their lives, and go forth from with real-life applicable to-dos.

Chris Keener guides us to breathe with conscious intention, mining the gold from three different breathwork traditions. We'll go deep, finding spaciousness, insight, and accessing a non-ordinary state of consciousness akin to an extreme ‘runners’ high’. As this 'work' section builds to a crescendo, we’ll release past trauma, blockages, and limiting beliefs that don't serve. From there, we'll change up the breath and bring in the ‘Goldenair'. Major shifts in perspective, and enlightened intuitions are common here. In the final ‘integration’, Chris leads a visualization exercise, promoting gratitude and clarity, and inspiring positive action in the world.

UMA MOTHERSHIP is a gathering for all Women to move into a space of unified transcendence through the practice of gentle yoga postures, effortless meditation and a deep restorative rest.

Move your body into a greater state of ease, allow the mind to align with nature’s intelligence and nurture a deeper state of wisdom and bliss. No previous meditation experience required.

Each participant will be gifted an UMA MOTHER MALA necklace made with love in Rishikesh, India which is a symbolic piece that can be worn during meditation.

Bring a yoga mat.

*Optional bring a meditation cushion and an eye pillow.

A portion of every UMA MOTHERSHIP goes toward different non-profit organizations that support and elevate Mothers and Children in need.

PLANT MUSIC BREATHWORK + MEDITATION + SOUND BATH

Using music converted from the vibrational energy of plants Joe will lead breathwork and mediation for the first portion of the experience to drop us in. As the energy of the room shifts, the response of his plants and the music it generates will follow. Greg will accompany with crystal bowls, live analog synthesizers, ambient guitar, nature sounds, and chimes all tuned to 432hz and the experience will culminate to a sonic tapestry of plant music and Greg’s improvisations that will realign your energy field, wash away what you no longer need, and usher in what you desire.

The Asana Lab Live - with Alexandria Crow Not a workshop. Simply Practice. You asked for more practice time. You asked to through and through be able to be a student again in a public class, even those of you who are teachers. You asked to have the chance to learn by doing. You asked to be inspired so that your practice becomes your own again and so that you have more to give the students you teach. You asked to be presented with new and effective methods and techniques that will allow you can deepen your direct personal experience with yoga’s philosophy while still engaged in a physical practice that has all the qualities you love and maybe some of the qualities that you miss. You asked to move, and to explore, and to work, to find ease, and to learn. That’s what these classes aim to deliver. A return to your yoga practice. ———— Class Description - Each class will be 2 hours long and will start with a short 15 min introduction to the day's topic and concepts, then a 90 minute physical practice, and will close with a 15 min explanation and Q&A. All levels - New students, long term students, teachers, anyone and everyone is welcome and will be fully accommodated as always.
