Almost all yoga poses help us connect with our core. Inversions and arm balances obviously require a lot of core strength, but even poses like twisting, balancing and folding require the core muscles. Our abs are a central force in lifting and lowering your legs to balance and deep twists. The transverse abdominis wrap around our waist from front to back and gives us better posture, stabilizing the torso and spine. When we learn how to activate all these muscles, you’ll strengthen the core from every angle. It isn’t about getting better looking abs, but supercharging your entire practice and learning how to integrate core strength into every pose.
During this workshop we will learn how our bandhas (pelvic floor and low belly) are essential in accessing our full core strength and potential. Using our bandhas to discover standing postures and arm balances in new ways. Expect lots of core work and a creative flow to unlock your core power. And even some breathwork to create fire in our belly that radiates throughout our bodies.

The New Moon marks the beginning & end of every Lunar Cycle. It is when the Moon is directly aligned with the Sun, appearing as if it has vanished from our sky. We can use the energy of this time to go inward & bring forth our deepest intentions. By gathering in a circle with other women, we can provide support, share & connect with one another, helping to manifest & magnify our intentions out into the Universe. When we come together for this sacred event, so many women all over the world will be doing the same. Expect a meditation, a brief discussion on the astrologic energy of this particular New Moon, journaling, sharing & take home a special gift from Moon Body Soul.

SELF MASSAGE & MYOFASCIAL RELEASE WORKSHOP

Eliminate pain, increase flexibility, and prevent injury in this 90 minute, self-massage workshop. We will focus on both the upper body (back, shoulders, head and neck) and lower body (hips, quads, calves) and cover techniques that get deep into the muscle fibers and trigger points using tennis or massage balls. These self-treatment strategies can be done anywhere, and you will leave with the knowledge you need to perform personal trigger point therapy (think personalized deep tissue massage!).
Option to bring your own massage therapy balls, use the tennis balls provided at the studio, or purchase a set for $15 the day of the workshop. Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.

Join Nina Wiger and Bree VanZutphen for an evening of diving deeper into heart space. The evening will start with ceremonial cacao and intention setting to carve out space for our desires that align us with our highest selves. We will then transition to a brief meditation before moving into active breathwork. As the reasoning mind takes a backseat during the breathwork, we will cleanse and process emotions that get held and stored in the physical body. The evening will end with a soundbath to soothe our souls and spirits. Come clear out space for more freedom and love as we enter into the holiday season.

You asked to be inspired so that your practice becomes your own again and so that you have more to give the students you teach. You asked to be presented with new and effective methods and techniques that will allow you can deepen your direct personal experience with yoga’s philosophy while still engaged in a physical practice that has all the qualities you love and maybe some of the qualities that you miss. You asked to move, and to explore, and to work, to find ease, and to learn. That’s what these classes aim to deliver. A return to your yoga practice. ———— Class Description - Each class will be 2 hours long and will start with a short 15 min introduction to the day's topic and concepts, then a 90 minute physical practice, and will close with a 15 min explanation and Q&A.
